Barcelona Online | Top 10 Barcelona sites

In no particular order...

Street map of Barcelona
Part of the huge, generally very good, Ajuntament de Barcelona site (see below), we highly recommend this interactive street map of Barcelona... You know the street name, but have no idea where that is? This is your site (see site).

Bcn.es
The official, Ajuntament de Barcelona local authority site. It's vast and horrible to have to find your way around at times, but if you want to know about Barcelona, find out what's on, etc, worth the extra effort to explore (see site).

TimeOut Barcelona
The incomparable TimeOut Barcelona guide has an excellent online version to go with its unbeatable print guide... (see site).

Loquo
Loquo is Barcelona's equivalent to Craigslist -- a great site for small ads, the place to head if you're looking for cheap long-term accommodation (ie a room to share), want to buy a second hand bike or give private language lessons, and so on (see site).

AIDS in Africa
An joint initiative from the UOC, the Fundació La Caixa and Médicos sin Fronteras to raise awareness on the human tragedy unfolding in Africa, and raise funds to help deal with it. Partly because of its design but largely because of its objectives, possibly the best Barcelona website... (see site).

National Art Musuem Barcelona (MNAC)
On the whole, Barcelona's many musuems are not well served by their websites, but the MNAC (highly recommended to anyone coming to the city) is perhaps an exception (see site).

Gaudí site
2002 was International Gaudí Year, and this excellent official site was created for it... (see site).

Spanish in Barcelona
All right, International House Barcelona is this site's main sponsor, but we include it in our top ten Barcelona sites first of all because it has an excellent website and also because it is an excellent place to learn Spanish... (see site).

Celta Course
And finally, shamelessly, a Barcelona site we produce ourselves: CELTA is the initial English language teaching qualification to get for anyone thinking of a career in TEFL. What's it like? Well this site tells you. Celta-course.com is a sister site to Barcelona Online (see site).
